This flat has two generous bedrooms with each one a king size bed, one big bathroom and a dining, cooking and living area. The apartment is located in the souterrain of a typical Berlin house in one of the hippest areas in Berlin. In the middle of the scene in the Bergmannkiez in Berlin-Kreuzberg you are very close to the real Berlin life. It needs a few steps to enter the flat, however within the apartment there are no further stairs. As the flat is at a street, you might hear traffic in the room facing the street. There are proper shutters that you can close for silent good night sleep. 🙂 The shower is at the same time a bathtub with a wonderful rain shower. You will also find a washing machine and a laundry rack in the bathroom which is available for usage. When I want to show my visiting friends that Berlin doesn’t look like Kotti or Alexanderplatz everywhere, the Bergmannkiez is my number one place to go. Here, the city shows on of its most beautiful side: magnificent old buildings, beautiful, light-flooded cobblestone streets, hip cafés and cozy bookstores everywhere you look. Between Gneisenaustraße, Mehringdamm, Südstern and Fidicinstraße, you can fall in love as beautifully as in Paris, eat similarly good schnitzel as in Vienna, and despite these references, the Kiez remains a beautiful piece of Berlin. While the namesake Bergmannstraße is still quite bustling and comes across like the shopping street of a small town, behind it stretches a wonderful, quiet residential area, where you look in vain for the otherwise so wild and hectic Berlin – and that, although you are in the middle of it. Especially on weekends, when there is a market at the Marheinekehalle a trip here is worthwhile. To discover a beautiful, unagitated and cozy Berlin. You will receive a few tips in your AirBnB inbox upon your arrival and can of course also check my travel guide in AirBnB. I can also highly recommend the website of “Mit Vergnügen Berlin”, a blog for food and activities in Berlin. Roam around the area and you will see how colorful and lively this area is. There are several restaurants with different cuisines lined up in the area. In addition, you can find small stores and groceries around the corner. Directly in front of the flat you will find the underground train (U-Bahn) where the U7 stops. The U7 brings you from east to west and stops at destinations like Hermannplatz (east), Mehringdamm (one station away) and Adenauer Platz (west). For parking I would recommend to check the residential areas in the side streets near the flat.
